Farmer. Scientist. Storyteller.
Ngayi, hello and welcome. I'm Dr Anika Molesworth, and my home is the arid heartland of Australia.
I live and work on Wilyakali land, the traditional home of the Wilyakali people, iki kirri kirrinana Wilyakali.

About me.
A drought is a cruel beast, and it was living through a ten-year drought on my family’s farm that ignited my concern about climate change. From then I wondered, "How are we going to feed everyone well in a climate challenged world and look after our precious planet?"
I am passionate about resilient rural communities and healthy ecosystems, and I am committed to help create a sustainable food system. I have a PhD in agriculture and environmental management, and use creative arts to design a world where everyone is food secure.
Raising awareness of climate change impacts on farms, and most importantly, the action that can be taken to reduce emissions and adapt to changing conditions has taken me around the world to every continent (including Antarctica), meeting with farmers, scientists, global leaders and royalty.
I run science communication workshops, speak at small and large events, write books, and film stories about the food that nourishes us and the land it comes from.

Buy your copy of the award-winning book, Our Sunburnt Country. Bringing together stories and ideas from farmers, nutritionists, climate scientists, chefs, and social entrepreneurs, Our Sunburnt Country delivers a compelling vision for improving the food system.
As the world changes, the food system must evolve, so we need to seek new information and improve our understanding of how our world works to ensure the best human interaction with it. Our Sunburnt Country explores both the challenges facing food producers and consumers, and what every person can do to play a positive role through the meal on their plate.
